Big MultiPlex Ski

Big MultiPlex Ski

Race tracks, rural roads, highways: VÖGELE's Big MultiPlex Ski comes into play whenever absolute evenness in the longitudinal direction is essential, and no absolute grade reference is available. Its 16 ft 5 in to 42 ft 8 in (5 to 13 m) beam can be fitted with three multi-cell sonic sensors as standard – or with up to five if required. This enables the Big MultiPlex Ski to scan a reference at multiple points located at a distance from one another. VÖGELE’s Niveltronic Plus system for automated grade and slope control calculates an average from the measurements taken across the entire measuring range, evening out any irregularities over extended distances. In this way, the system operates with much greater precision than an individual single-cell or multi-cell sensor for example.

The Big MultiPlex Ski works with three multi-cell sonic sensors as standard, each transmitting their measurement results directly to the Niveltronic Plus system for automated grade and slope control. The system then calculates a virtual reference level from the results. The sonic sensors are attached to a beam on the side of the paver. Up to five sensors can be connected depending on the application. This offers the advantage that the measured results cover a total length of up to 42 ft 8 in (13 m), allowing extended irregularities such as undulations in the ground to be detected and evened out.

High degree of evenness, quick installation

The Big MultiPlex Ski levels out even long undulations. The latest version is particularly user-friendly – and can be set up completely in just seven minutes.
